The Writers’ Roundtable is more of a concept than an organization, conceived and launched by Keith Ryans and sponsored by the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council. The poetry events are also co-sponsored by the Betty June Silconas Poetry Center at Sussex County Community College.

First Tuesdays with the Writers' Roundtable

First Tuesdays are readings held at the Unitarian Universalist Hall, 1 West Nelson Street, Newton, New Jersey, 07860. As the name says, they are held the first Tuesday of ALMOST every month, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. These monthly gatherings offer featured readings by poets or prose writers followed by an open reading by our talented local writers.

This is a wonderful opportunity for writers to meet and socialize. Readings are organized and run by Jim Berkheiser and Chuck Tripi. Poetry readings are also sponsored by the Betty June Silconas Poetry Center of Sussex County Community College. If you would like further information you may contact Jim at jab619@embarqmail.com.
